Ragamuffin Sons is a Christian Rock/Worship Band based out of Louisville, Ky. Founded on the belief that we are called to worship God and proclaim his name in every aspect of our lives, both public and private. This includes every aspect of our music, families, lifestyles, Ragamuffin Sons boldly proclaims the gospel as the foundation of our ministry.  Our name is taken from several sources as both a tribute and testament to the Saving Power of Jesus Christ. First, Romans 8:16 & 17 says, “The Spirit himself testifies with out spirits that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.” Second, in his book, Ragamuffin Gospel, Brennan Manning says, “My deepest awareness of myself is that I am deeply loved by Jesus Christ and I have done nothing to earn it or deserve it.” In another place he says, “The Gospel declares that no matter how dutiful or prayerful we are, we can’t save ourselves. What Jesus did [on the cross] was sufficient.” Based on this, we are Ragamuffins all, deserving only death, but finding peace, life, and rest at the merciful hand of God through Christ Jesus. Because of this, We, the members of Ragamuffin Sons raise our hands, hearts, voices, and talents to proclaim the name above all names, Jesus Christ.
